stewed! are proud to be co-sponsors of Allegra’s UK Coffee Leader Summit, April 2010

21st – 22nd April 2010 at Vinopolis, London

stewedlogohighres_small2stewed! The Olive Grows first ever client goes from strength to strength, and like all well-managed, growing consumer brands, is aligning itself to other complimentary brands and high-profile events that will extend the reach of the stewed! brand to the right target audience.

stewed! are co-sponsors of the Allegra UK Coffee Leader Summit (21st - 22nd April, 2010), which attracts the UK’s leading coffee shop chains and food-to-go operators, and, this year, welcomes key-speakersfrom Starbucks, Coffee Nation, Costa Coffee, Caffè Nero and Marks and Spencer.

The products are now more convenient than ever, with a new single-serve, microwaveable lunch pot range and a new, high-kicking hussar of a Hungarian Goulash to add to the growing range.

And all this just two years after selling that first fateful pot of stew from Alexandra Palace farmers’ market on 6th April 2008. (Happy Birthday to stew!)

Extraordinary what can be achieved with an unprecedented idea, seriously quality ingredients, some hugely creative, unique and globally-inspired recipes, the convenience of ready-made without any compromises, all available nationally at an affordable price …..or maybe not so extraordinary, then! "From humble beginnings, the company's star is on the rise." Café Business Magazine, May 2010

“So good we wish we’d come up with the recipe … a tasty, beautifully cooked gourmet stew.” Cook Vegetarian! Veggie Awards: Highly Commended Finalist 2010

editors’ notes
• In the spirit of the European Coffee Symposium, the UK Coffee Leader Summit is about engaging and inspiring the industry, through critical debate, networking and powerful business development opportunities. This year, Allegra Strategies will host the first Meet the Buyer programme solely dedicated to the UK branded coffee shop, food-to-go and food-for-now segments. The two-day event will focus on “the third wave”, “the experiential age of café culture” and defining the trends for the post-recession period. Venue: Vinopolis, Stoney Street. SE1 9BU. • stewed! was founded by 33-year-old entrepreneur and passionate foodie, Alan Rosenthal. Aside from a background in buying and marketing for national retailers, Alan has worked for Spanish food specialists Brindisa, at various London restaurants, including The Providores and is a professional Iberico ham carver – not many people can say that. He came up with the idea for stewed! on the Circle Line in 2007, promptly packed in his job and set to work in his kitchen – from where all stewed! recipes still originate. Just one year later, he was outsourcing production. Not many people can say that either.

• Although max-ing out on flavours and ingredients, all stewed! stews are free from gluten, preservatives and additives.

• Currently bubbling away in Alan Rosenthal’s Bounds Green kitchen are the makings of further additions to the stewed! range planned for a 2010 launch. Stand back for further announcements.
